Dewdrop (Synopsis)
DEWDROP brings together poems, paintings, and drawings composed over the last sixteen years on several continents. The work focuses the creator’s eye both on that inner landscape of the imagination as well as on the outer, corporeal world. In both text and image, Dewdrop explores questions of self, society, and history in an introspective manner, constituting a soliloquy on the creator’s life.

HOGARTH – In Line and Colour (Synopsis –Back of book)

HOGARTH – In Line and Colour presents a series of critical and insightful essays by the artist/author and by colleagues and former professors. These essays examine Hogarth’s art from a technical, cultural and philosophical perspective, looking at the formation and maturation of the artist’s visual language from his days as a student in the Central Academy of Fine Arts in Beijing, China. It contains over a hundred reproductions of his work, many of which are under discussion by the aforementioned authors. Originally intended for publication on the occasion of his solo exhibition, REQUIEM, at the Olympia Gallery in March 2019, it contains the Artist’s Statement for this particular show, as well as the full text of opening speaker, Hope Brooks, retired Dean of the School of Visual Arts, Jamaica. In addition, it presents a catalogue of each work in REQUIEM, as well as supplementary images.
